House warming Ceremony was held on 26th February 2014 where all the family members from Katrathanda Family were present. (Thamame) Ladies married to other families were the Guests. All the villagers were also present. Ganapathi Homa & Satyanarayana Pooja was done. Lunch was served to all the people. Katrathanda family has one room reserved for the village festivals equipments to be kept.
Bettageri is 15 kms from Madikeri on the way to Talakaveri. Bettageri has many other Kodagu Heggade families. Katrathanda family is one of the families of Kodagu Heggade. The Family has the First Graduate for the community & also First Colonel in thier list of Achievers, not to forget all the Homemakers who have done a splendid job by supporting them.
